Designed by Tamara Aladin (Finnish, 1932-2019) for Riihimäen Lasi Oy (Riihimäki, pre-1937).  A carefully curated near pair of large, hooped vases in a vibrant red colour with a clear casing.  This design has 3 hoops (there is a more common design with 2 hoops) and are sometimes referred to as “cog” or “camshaft” in shape due to their mechanical appearance.   Beautifully simple in their design, they are excellent examples of mid-century Scandinavian art glass.  In good condition, with no chips or cracks. Note, they are hand-blown, each vase is unique and there may be some small blemishes from the manufacturing process.
