British Dining Set By Richard Young

Designer: Richard Young
Manufacturer: E Gomme Ltd / Gplan
Year of Manufacturer: 1960s
Description:

A very hard to come by complete set, comprising a “model 4333” dining table along with 6 “model 4511” chairs. This range became known as “Group 3” due to both the table and chairs having 3 legs. Richard Young (later of Merrow Associates fame) designed this set to seat 6 people comfortably in a small sized dining space. The chairs are also stackable when not in use. As well as the functional form, the beech wood frames beautifully contrast the teak veneered bent ply to create an elegant appearance. With original brown vinyl upholstery.
