A stalwart of the 20th-century Danish furniture scene, Arne Hovmand Olsen first started as a cabinet maker with Sibast before going on to design his own distinctive furniture. After success in Denmark, he went on to gather great acclaim in the United States. Olsen’s workshop produced a wide furniture repertoire, including sideboards, nesting tables, dining chairs and tables as well as modern sofas. His designs were manufactured by a number of companies, the most familiar being those produced by Mogens Kold Møbelfabrik
