Ole Wanscher

Architect, renowned designer and furniture-maker Wanscher was an integral part of the Danish Modern furniture movement. He was a pioneer in creating simple design intended for mass production for ordinary Danish homes. Wanscher was heavily influenced by his travels around Europe and Africa, evident in the naming of his most iconic designs, the “Colonial Lounge Chair” and the “Egyptian Stool”.
