The two frieze drawers have centre guides that keep them from skewing sideways and side suspension keeping them level when heavily loaded.  In Arts and Crafts style, from their “Mission” range, this item has been handcrafted using construction techniques synonymous with Stickley.  It features spindle sides, corbels, and pinned through-tenons.
